Employers:

1. What if I don’t get any graduates signing up for an interview? Will I get a refund?

You will receive a 50% refund if any graduates do not sign up for interviews with you.

2. What information should be in my Practice Profile?

Please include the following mandatory info: 1. Office Address 2. Website 3. Job Description 4. Clinic Details (hours, staff, optical, equipment). Additional info that we’ve found attract more new grads include: 1. Potential salary 2. Patient statistics (active files, demographics, special focuses) 3. Clinic History, 4. Community (lifestyle, closest ODs around, OMD referrals)

3. Does the scheduling matter for Skype Interviews?

Technically, no. Scheduling for a Skype interview is up to the employer and graduate to coordinate. However, you must still sign up for an arbitrary timeslot in the Interview Day booking schedule.

4. Can I still register for Interview Day 2019 after April 6?

No, you cannot register. Registration will be closed after this date.

5. I registered for Interview Day but I don’t see my Practice Profile?

All registrants are manually reviewed before before the Practice Profile is posted. Please give a couple days for it to show, particularly in the early and later ends of the registration period. If you have any changes you wish to make please email us at vpcomm@caostudents.ca.

Graduates:

1. Will I get a refund if I decide to NOT ATTEND Interview Day?

No, you will not get a refund.

2. How many interviews can I sign up for?

You can sign up for 1 interview per doctor. Overall, there is no limit on your total number of Interviews.

3. When can I sign up for interviews?

Interview time slot booking will open on Saturday, March 30, 2019.

4. Can I still register after Saturday, March 30, 2019?

Yes, you can still register. However, the fee will increase by $15.

5. Does the scheduling matter for Skype Interviews?

Technically, no. Scheduling for a Skype interview is up to the employer and graduate to coordinate. However, you must still sign up for an arbitrary timeslot in the Interview Day booking schedule.

6. Can I do a Skype Interview with a doctor that is at Interview Day?

No, you must come to Waterloo to participate in the interview with that employer. If you have any questions about this, please contact vpcomm@caostudents.ca.

7. Can I still register for Interview Day 2019 after April 6?

8. When booking interviews, the doctor I want to book with isn’t there!

Check both the Interview Day and Skype Interview dropdowns as the doctor may have opted to do Skype Interviews and not in-person interviews for Interview Day. If they do not appear in either list, please email vpcomm@caostudents.ca.
